ENERGY STUDIES- ENERGY UPGRADE “GO GREEN”<\/h4>\n

By the term Energy Upgrade of a building or a facility, we mean the interventions and changes that need to be made so that a) it requires minimal energy consumption to operate with the optimum comfort conditions and b) has the least possible energy losses, that meansnot being energy intensive.<\/p>\n

ENERGY STUDY-BUILDING UPGRADE<\/strong><\/p>\n

The best way to reduce the consumed energy and minimize pollutant emissions is the implementation of the necessary energy interventions. The choice of interventions is related to the use of a space, its location and other factors.<\/p>\n

  • The energy study includes recording the current energy situation, the proposal-selection of the best techniques of energy interventions and finally the calculation of the new energy state of your property after applying the proposed energy interventions. Some of the possible interventions that improve a building’s energy are: • Alternative heating • Replacement of all frames • Add external thermal insulation • Waterproofing • Insulation roof or green roof terraces • Solar water heating<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    BUSINESS FACILITIES ENERGY UPGRADE “GO GREEN”-PROJECT MANAGEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Energy is an integral part of economic activity. Each business function depends entirely on the energy flow. But the production of electricity in Greece is mainly from fossil fuels, which has two adverse effects, increased energy costs and high environmental burden due to the large release of pollutants from combustion of coal. Furthermorethere are other causes that aggravate the problem. Some of these are the climatic conditions, especially the summer period, the design of air conditioning and the lighting conditions in the surroundings of the plant, as users often have not developed the so-called “energy consciousness”<\/p>\n

    For these reasons, firms incur increased operating costs, and the “footprint” of the plant is very high.
    \nThe object of study is the energy techno-economic analysis of energy savings, which will be record the relation cost – performance of each proposed intervention and analytically calculate the reduction of releases of pollutants due to energy consumption. The process of energy study is the following:
    \n1.Record the energy business profile, which is achieved with the following tasks:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Data collection building
      \n• Data collection surroundings
      \n• Accurate recording of electrical and mechanical equipment, ie: light fixtures, heating systems – air conditioning etc.
      \n•Placementdata-loggerequipmentfor determiningthe individualconsumptions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      1. Identification and detailed listing of potential energy saving interventions taking into account the specificities of each business and assessment of energy and environmental benefits of each intervention.
        \n3. Economic evaluation (comparison of cost – benefit analysis) of each potential intervention saving energy<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        It is important to increase business investment for smart actions GO GREEN, which will result in savings both operating businesses costs as well as the release of CO2 into the atmosphere<\/p>\n

        ENERGY PROJECT MANAGEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

        GROUP SCIENCE consultant engineers undertake the Project Management from the start-up of implementation of interventions, whether the proposed interventions are part of our own energy study or not.<\/p>\n

        The term “project management” involves the evaluation of technical proposals of suppliers \/ contractors, monitoring and supervising the implementation of these proposals and the energy high at the end of the project.<\/p>\n

        ENERGY INSPECTIONS-ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATES<\/h4>\n

        GROUP SCIENCE ‘skilled engineers and accredited energy inspectors undertake energy audits, certification of energy efficiency and energy writing studies.<\/p>\n

        With the implementation of Greek building energy efficiency regulation (KENAK) which replaced on March 30th 2010 the thermal insulation studies, owners must now issue a certificate of energy efficiency,  which is obligatory for the sale or the rental of a  building.<\/p>\n

        The certificate will be issued for any new or recently renovated building over 50m2 and for all existing products for sale or rent. The EPC is issued by an accredited energy inspector and it is an obligation of the owner to provide this document to the purchaser or itstenant.The owner provides to the Energy Inspector all the necessary elements (Architectural plans, studies \/ M, etc.) and gives him the ability to make energy inspection at the inside of the building.The certificate classifies the building into a particular energy rating of A + to H. The notary before proceeding to purchase transactions shall indicate in the contract the unique reference number that corresponds to the certificate for the building.<\/p>\n
